Intense Rangers patrolling needed to control street crimes: KATI
President of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Masood Naqi has urged the government and security agencies to use modern technology and techniques for surveillance and snap checking process.
"Ranger's patrolling should be more frequent to control street crime," he demanded, here on Monday. He called for extension in the stay and policing powers of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh). He urged expansion of the operation as well.
Naqi said that powers given to rangers by the government and the duration of 3 months are not enough to control the situation in Karachi.
"Collective efforts of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), Police and other security agencies strengthen the law and order situation in Karachi," he KATI president said citing that the incidents of targeted killings, snatching, kidnappings and other criminal activities were dropped considerably during previous years.
He said that business community is standing firm with the government and Pakistan Army for prosperity of the country.
