The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to execute four mega development projects in the provincial metropolis at a cost of Rs 13 billion. These projects include construction of 13 kilometers long Sharaqpur Bypass from Mohlanwal, Lahore, to Jaranwala Road Sharqpur, in District Sheikupura, at a cost of Rs 6 billion.
The other projects are structural plan road from Expo Center, Johar Town, to Ring Road (parallel to Canal Bank Road), Lahore, at the cost of Rs 3.5 billion. Construction of another structural plan road from Expo Center, Johar Town, to Khayaban-e-Jinnah, Lahore, will be undertaken at a cost of Rs 2.5 billion while widening and improvement of Bedian Road, Barki Road, and adjoining approach road, Lahore, will be completed at a cost of Rs 1.1 billion.
The LDA has invited applications for pre-qualification from the engineering firms/contractors registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the Category "C-A" by the 24th of March 2017. The pre-qualification shall be conducted under Punjab Procurement Rules 2014.
The qualification in relevant experience, past performance, capabilities with respect to personnel, equipment/plant, financial position, appropriate management capacity and specifically construction of such nature of mega projects on the credit of firm shall be the criteria for pre-qualification.
