The European Union awarded this week licences to import 13,790 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat and 11,760 tonnes of Ukrainian barley under annual tariff-free quotas, official data showed on Thursday. There remained 154,298 tonnes available under the Ukrainian wheat quota that offered a total 960,000 tonnes for 2017. For barley, 230,090 tonnes still available this year out of a total of 270,000 tonnes. A tariff-free quota of 450,000 tonnes of Ukrainian maize for 2017 was exhausted earlier this year.
