The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has installed six rooftop solar net metering connections of 268kV, said a spokesman for the Company. He said the LESCO has received 29 applications so far out of which 26 applications have been forwarded to the NEPRA after due documentation. The NEPRA has issued net metering generation licenses against 16 applications out of which six have been installed while work is in progress on remaining 10 applications, he added.
It may be noted that the chief executive LESCO Syed Wajid Ali Kazmi has put forward the vision of rooftop solar net metering connections and the Company is in the process of materialising it on war footing.
