At least nine passengers, including two women and children, were killed and two suffered injuries when their coach plunged into a deep ravine near Shinkiari area of Mansehra on Wednesday. According to Shinkiari police, a jeep with nine passengers onboard was on its way from Jabori to Mansehra when it plunged into a deep ravine after the driver lost the control near Ratai area.
Rescue and police personnel reached the scence and shifted the injured and dead bodies to the King Abdullah Hospital. Eight of the passengers who had sustained serious wounds breathed their last on the spot. Police said that the deceased include two women and one minor girl. The identification of passengers could not be ascertained immediately.
