Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday emphasised the need to further enhance the existing military-to-military co-operation between the brotherly Armed Forces of Pakistan and Turkey. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief was talking to Turkish Chief of General Staff (CGS), General Hulusi Akar at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
Matters related to regional security were discussed during the meeting. The visiting dignitary acknowledged Pakistan's efforts in fight against terrorism and appreciated launching of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad for elimination of terrorism from Pakistan. The CoAS said, "Enhanced Pakistan- Turkey co-operation will have positive impact on regional security."
