The Vice Chancellor of Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), Tando Jam, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Sehrai has said that the world is worried about global warming and climatic changes, and the reason behind this is rapid increase in population, lack of trees and forests and environmental pollution, and the solution of these problems is to plant more and more trees.
He was addressing a gathering on Wednesday after inaugurating the "Plantation Campaign" along with Chairman Hyderabad District Council Haji Badar Ahmed Memon. He said that human beings utilize wood of two trees at minimum in their life, so it is responsibility of every individual to at least plant two trees. The chairman of Hyderabad District Council Haji Badar Ahmed Memon said that the Agriculture University is not only taking part in research and academic activities, but organising such healthy activities it sharing it's part in development and betterment of the society. He hailed the vital role of Tando Jam University for promoting agriculture sector and announced that sooner the streets would be made CC Block, while solar street lights would be installed in the university owned residential area present.
