DHA Suffa University's (DSU's) students who had recently returned from abroad after participating in various international levels academic cum engineering research events called on Administrator DHA Brigadier Shahid Hassan Ali to debrief him about their visit and performance abroad.
The students' delegation included DSU's Team Bur'raq, comprising 20 engineering students that exhibited their Bur'raq race car at the prestigious Australasia competition held in Calder Park Raceway, Australia in December 2016. It also included a student from DSU's Department of Electrical Engineering who participated in a Winter Camp hosted by Eurasia Institute for International Education Berlin in January 2017. Vice Chancellor DSU, Professor Dr Sarfraz Hussain and Dean of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Dr Johar Khurshid Farooqi were also present on the occasion.
The faculty incharge of DSU's Team Bur'raq, Lecturer Engr. Hamza Shams gave a presentation and apprised the Administrator the design features and manufacturing process undertaken by the team to develop the Bur'raq race car which won accolades at international forum. Administrator lauded the hard work and concerted efforts of DSU's students in completing their research project with distinction and rewarded them with a cash prize of Rs 0.5m. He advised the students to continue working hard and to keep excelling in future competitions to project the good name of DSU, DHA and Pakistan more effectively abroad.-PR
