Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif arrived in Islamabad on Monday to participate in the Economic Co-operation Organisation's (ECO) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting today (Tuesday). Foreign ministers/special envoys of the 10 member countries of the ECO would attend the meeting today (Tuesday) preceded by the 13th ECO Summit to be held in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The high officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the distinguished guest and delegation. Talking to media at the airport, the Iranian Foreign Minister said the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran are getting further strengthened. He said that Iran gives high importance to ECO Summit to be hosted by Pakistan. Referring to the recent visit of Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz to Tehran, the Iranian foreign minister said that the two sides exchanged views on important issues. He said that he considers Pakistan as his second home and feels happy whenever he visits the country.
