Terror bids foiled in Hangu, Bagh

The police foiled a terror bid as it recovered two bombs which were later defused by bomb disposal squad (BDS), here on Saturday. Over reports of presence of suspicion material in Tal Bazaar, Hangu, police was informed which reached the scene and during search two bombs weighing two kilogram were recovered.
The BDS was called in which reached the scene and defused the both bombs preventing a major terror bid. The security forces cordoned off the area after the recovery of the bombs and conducted search operations in which 20 suspects were arrested who were shifted to an undisclosed location for investigation.
Meanwhile,Police on Saturday foiled a major terror bid and recovered 80kg explosives during operation in Azad Kashmir's Bagh area. According to details, security officers also arrested five terrorists from Afghanistan and shifted them to some unidentified place for interrogation. Superintendent of Police (SP) Kamran Ali said that the detainees were living in a rented house.
Separately, bomb disposal squad defused 4kg heavy explosive material and also recovered two bombs at Taimour Shah Market in Hangu. Security forces have killed a commander of alleged militant group and arrested six suspects in search operation in Blangoor area of Turbat district. A security forces spokesman said the security forces personnel carried out the operation on a tipoff. He said the suspects opened fire at the security forces and in retaliatory fire an alleged militant commander, Mullah Rafiq, alias Duda was killed and six other were apprehended.
