Leader of Opposition in the Senate and senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP), Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan Saturday said that Qatari, Irani and UAE letters would lead to financial anarchy in the country. While talking to media, the PPP leader said that the Prime Minister has admitted that Sharif family owns London flats. He said that Supreme Court should have summoned Nawaz and questioned him about London flats.
He said if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's stance is accepted, smugglers could also present a Qatari letter in the court to plead their innocence. "PM Nawaz Sharif's stance can neither be accepted nor should the court accept his plea. If the court accepts this explanation then it can create a financial chaos in the country. If the PM's stance is accepted then smugglers will bring a Qatari letter to the court and get away with everything," he said.
He said that it is clear that Nawaz Sharif and his children own properties abroad, adding that these properties have been purchased through money plundered from the country. Regarding the court's remarks that NAB has died before 'us', he said that this is an unfortunate thing. He said that Supreme Court should revive the 'dead NAB'. Answering a question he said if Pakistan Super League final match does not take place in Lahore then it will be considered a failure of the government.
