Model Collectorate of Customs (MCC), Preventive on Friday claimed to have confiscated fine quality of heroin worth Rs 10 million from Colombo bound passenger. According to details, the staff posted at the departure hall of Karachi airport intercepted a passenger namely Majid, who was travelling to Colombo from a flight 1184 of Air Lanka. The staff during thorough examination of his luggage recovered a kilogram of heroin, which was artfully concealed in the bottom pipes of his luggage. The market value of seized contraband heroin was Rs 10 million. Consequent upon recovery, he was taken into custody. Further investigation was underway.
