Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Friday visited the defence blast side along with senior police officers, who briefed him about the initial results of investigation. Speaking on the occasion, the Federal Minister claimed that the government and Army had achieved important successes in their joint fight against terrorism. He said anti-Pakistan elements were trying to bring down the morale of the nation through subversive activities but it was their joint responsibility to foil the nefarious designs of such elements.
Saad said that propaganda of subversive activities was spread in defence blast incident without any investigation and solid evidence. He also chaired a meeting at the railways headquarters to review the schools being run under his organisation and directed the officers to immediately carry out a survey to improve the standard of education in these schools. Meanwhile, according to a spokesman of the railways, Punjab Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan also called on the Federal Railways Minister and discussed matters of mutual interest.
