Sartaj Aziz Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs met Brigadier General Hossein Dehgan, Minister of Defence and Logistics of Iran in Tehran. He was accompanied by Defence Secretary Lieutenant General Zameer-ul-Hassan Shah (Retd). They discussed measures to strengthen security along Pak-Iran border and agreed that the border Security Commission of the two countries will meet soon to ensure that terrorists and smugglers are unable to freely operate from each other's territories. During the meeting, progress on opening two additional border crossing points at Gabd-Reemdan and Mand-Pishin was also reviewed.
