Model girl Ayyan Ali finally got rid of the travel ban as Interior Ministry on Wednesday removed her name from the Exit Control List (ECL). The model had to face the court trials after she was caught while making an attempt to smuggle nearly half a million dollars out of the country in 2015.
She kept facing the court hearings and could not travel abroad as her name was placed on ECL by the Ministry of Interior on the court's orders. The case against her is yet to be concluded but the Supreme Court has allowed her to travel abroad. Despite the court's orders, the interior ministry delayed removal of her name from the ECL which forced her to approach the Supreme Court with the contempt of court petition against the Ministry of Interior.
However, the apex court took up the matter again and the Interior Ministry was left with no option but to remove the model's name from the ECL. According to a notification issued by Ministry of Interior on Wednesday evening, the name of the model has finally been dropped from ECL.
