Generation's School hosts 17th GenFajr Annual Athletic Sports Day
Generation's School proudly hosted its 17th GenFajr Annual Athletic Sports day for its junior section, in the South Campus. The event showcased the talents of over 860 young athletes from the ages of eight till twelve, and was attended by over 1,600 spectators, making it the biggest event of the school's academic calendar.
From the lighting of the torch of knowledge, the smart and brisk walk past by classes III and IV, the colourful and inspiring PE display of beautifully synchronized movements by classes V and VI, to the actual track and field events; no stone was left unturned in ensuring smooth and well-timed activities and tirelessly-rehearsed sporting events.
The spirit of sportsmanship was visible as students cheered each other on and congratulated both winners and non-winners. The Principal distributed medals to the winners and gave a trophy to the winning House. In his speech the chief guest CEO Habib University Foundation Perviez Gayas, encouraged and appreciated the students for demonstrating excellent skills and taking full advantage of the opportunities/platforms provided to them. He said such physical activities were necessary for all to remain healthy and strong and should be focused on in all educational institutions, at all levels. Further, he acknowledged that students were well-disciplined and the teaching staff set high standards of good conduct for them to replicate.-PR
