The Khyber Agency political administration has ordered the residents of Kamshalman, a bordering area near Pak-Afghan border in Landikotal tehsil, to vacate their homes and leave the area ahead of military offensive against militants in the area.
Political administration of Khyber Agency has directed the dwellers of Pak-Afghan border areas to migrate to safe places with immediate effect, said officials. The directions were issued to the people living in Sheenphokh and Samsay areas of Khyber Agency. "Exodus is underway as the security forces have already launched operation in the area," officials told the local media persons.
The political administration has ordered the Samsipukh village residents to leave the area and migrate to other places for safety. The administration informed that military operation will be launched to purge the area of militants.
The administration has also ordered the residents of Shinpukh, a border village of Khyber Agency, to leave the area ahead of military operation against militants. People have started migrating from the area.
It is pertinent to mention here, Pakistan Army has handed over a list of 76 militants to Afghan authorities and demanded immediate action against these militants, who are involved in planning attacks on Pakistan from Afghan soil.
Yesterday, Pakistan Army had targeted militants' hideouts in Afghanistan near Pak-Afghan border and killed several militants. Afghan authorities have summoned Pakistan ambassador in Kabul and recorded protest against the cross border shelling.
