Advisor to Prime Minister and PML-N Senior Vice president, Amir Muqam has said that a conspiracy was being hatched by external forces to destabilize the country, which couldn't be succeeded in their nefarious agenda. While condemning the recent spate of terrorism, Muqam said that the anti-state elements against the rapid economic growth, stability, and the fast-track energy projects, initiated in the country, importantly China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
However, he said that the government was not deterred by such cowardly attacks, and it will continue process of development and progress in the country, he added. He was speaking at a news conference at press club on Saturday, wherein PML-Q district president and former candidate from PK-7, Azmat Khan Daudzai along with nazims, friends and family members joined in the PML-N. Flanked by PML-N provincial leaders and large number workers, Muqam blamed the India and Afghanistan for creating instability in the country. He said the security forces and people rendered matchless sacrifices for restoration of peace, which can not go into vein. He reaffirmed the incumbent federal government commitment towards bringing everlasting peace in the county.
"Moral of our armed forces and people is very high to combat against the menace of the terrorism", Muqam said. He condemned the terrorists' attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Quetta province, which he termed them as weak and cowardly acts, aimed at to hinder the development and progress in the country.
Regarding PTI-led government performance, PML-N leader said there was clear contradiction between words and deed of Imran Khan. He criticised that Imran Khan had raised hue and cry about accountability. But, he added despite passage of one-month, his party-led provincial government failed to appoint new Director General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesaab Commission. He asked Imran Khan to present first himself for accountability. Earlier, Amir Muqam welcomed the joining of PML-Q activist in the party fold, and assured the party would give due status and position.
