Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Friday constituted five benches and a larger bench at the principal seat to hear some important cases during the week starting on Monday (February 20). The first bench will comprise Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Faisal Arab, and the second will consist of Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa and Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan.
Justice Amir Hani Muslim, Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel will form the third bench and Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Gulzar Ahmed will be part of the fourth one. The fifth bench will consist of Justice Mushir Alam, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Maqbool Baqar.
The five-member larger bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa and consist of Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan. The formation of third bench would change on Tuesday and comprised Justice Mushir Alam, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Maqbool Baqar. The cases to be heard include JWD Mills Limited and another v. Ittefaq Sugar Mills Limited, contempt of court appeal filed by Model Ayyan Ali, Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) thr. its President v. Government of Pakistan, M/o National Health Services, Regulation & Co-ordination, Panama papers case, suo motu action regarding eligibility of Chairman and members of Sindh Public Service Commission, suo motu action regarding 273 illegal appointments, promotions and adjustments without any advertisements and interview on the basis of bogus service structure in the Health Department of Sindh and suo motu action against corrupt elements working on Deputation in the Sindh Coal Authority, energy department.
