The United Nations in Pakistan on Friday strongly condemned the terror attack on Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine in Sindh. "The United Nations family in Pakistan stands together with all in Pakistan in shock and grief after the heinous attack on Thursday on hundreds of children, women and men at the Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine in Sehwan Sharif, Sindh," a statement said.
"We are appalled by this attack on hundreds of people while they were praying. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights says 'Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion," it said. "We express our profound condolences and sympathy to the families of all those who lost their lives or were injured in this heartless attack. Our thoughts today are with the victims and their families," the statement said.
