The Senate Standing Committee on Defence on Friday witnessed the production of state-of-the-art JF-17 Thunder aircraft and acknowledged the role played by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra in making the country self-reliant and enhancing indigenous capabilities in the field of aviation. Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed headed the committee. The committee members also visited Air Headquarters, Islamabad, where Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), received them.
The committee was given a detailed briefing regarding the role and task of the Pakistan Air Force. While talking on the occasion, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman talked about the role of Pakistan Air Force regarding the aerial defence of the country. He also highlighted the pivotal role played by the PAF in operation Zarb-e-Azb. Mushahid Hussain Sayed lauded the sound professionalism of PAF personnel as well as its commendable contributions in safeguarding the country. He acknowledged the role of the PAF in recent times and termed it one of the best air forces of the world. Later on, the committee also visited Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra, where Chairman PAC Kamra Air Marshal Arshad Malik received them. The committee was given a detailed briefing about the role and task of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex.
