KP CM offers hydel, gas, solar energy sectors to Chinese investors
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has offered the Chinese investors to invest in the natural advantages, the province of KP offered in hydel, gas and solar energy and mining sectors adding that new roads connecting Pakistan with China and Central Asia, transport and mass transit, industrial sector particularly heavy machine manufacturing plant in Rashakai, CPEC Tower in Peshawar and agriculture and vocational training were some other areas which could be taken for huge investment in the backdrop of CPEC.
This, he stated, while talking to a delegation of SINOMAC investment Company here at Chief Minister House Peshawar. The Chinese delegation was led by Peter Tien, President Princeton Environment group China. Miss Fengying Wang, GM China Sinomac Corporation, Minister for Industry, Mines & Mineral Aneesa Zaib Tahir Kheli, Chairman EZDMC Ghulam Dastgir and others attended.Peter Tien introduced the Chinese company to the Chief Minister and said that Sinomac Heavy Industry Corporation is a fortune 500 companies with annual turnover of $ 40 billion.
He further stated that the company has interests in mining, heavy machines manufacturing, highway construction, and power sector development projects. He appreciated the working of the KP government in introducing the investment opportunities in KP.
The chief minister appreciated the interest the companies are taking for investment in KP. He assured them of complete and transparent collaboration. He emphasized the importance of CPEC and the wonderful opportunity that it provided for shared mutual benefit. He praised the Chinese government and said that it was doing wonders in development. He also assured the visiting delegates that KP government would provide maximum support to all investors.
Meanwhile, talking to a delegation of the cabinet of Peshawar Press Club (PPC) and senior journalists, the Chief Minister said the western route stands integral part of the CPEC and an additional all weather route connecting Gilgit to Dir and Chakdara via Chitral and Shandoor has already been made part of the CPEC.
He said greater Peshawar Mass Transit would connect six districts covering transportation to 41% of the total population of the province. He said that 1700 Mega Watt of electricity would be produced from the surplus water resources under CPEC, he added. He said that Rashakai Industrial City would be belt on 40000 canals of land. He said that the province would see a mass scale industrialization and relocation of labour intensive industrial units from China.
