Pakistan has all sort of tourism one can think of. Great potential of reciprocal tourism of Pakistan with friendly countries do exist which is yet to be properly explored. To promote tourism between Pakistan and Nepal, it is imperative to bring the national associations of two countries closer to start mutual cooperation and collaboration, while signing a MOU followed by formation of Pakistan-Nepal Joint Tourism Promotion Council having representation of both TAAP and NATTA patronised by the foreign missions of Pakistan and Nepal in respective countries." This was stated by Muhammad Naeem Sharif, Chairman, Travel Agents Association of Pakistan in a meeting with H.E. Sewa Lamsal Adhikari, Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan during her visit to TAAP.
Exchanging views with the Nepalese Ambassador, Chairman TAAP articulated that close co-ordination and cooperation between TAAP and NATTA can create a win-win situation to promote travel and tourism provided the foreign missions of two countries may also play their role to patronise the initiative. He added that people of Nepal and Pakistan enjoy close and friendly relations nurtured by friendship, cooperation and natural respect. There exist great potential for promoting tourism between Pakistan and Nepal.
Naeem Sharif voiced that there was a great deal of air travel between SAARC Countries and therefore proposed that the national associations of Pakistan and Nepal may urge all the air-carriers operating to and from SAARC countries to introduce SAARC fare. He also urged Nepalese national carrier to start flights for Karachi and back to whereby the airline can carry from Karachi a large number of passengers for Shanghai and onwards to other countries in the region. The flights coming from Europe can have stop over at Karachi to carry the passengers for onward destinations. He also apprised the Ambassador about the role of TAAP to promote travel and tourism industry in the country and elsewhere world-wide.
H.E. Sewa Lamsal Adhikari, Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan addressing the Chairman, Executive Committee and Senior Members of TAAP fully endorsed the thoughtfulness, willingness and commitment of TAAP to promote tourism between Pakistan and Nepal. She endeavoured to bring closer Travel Agents Association of Pakistan and Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) to collaborate for joint efforts to promoting tourism. She also urged both TAAP & NATTA to exchange delegations and enhance mutual cooperation. Exchanging views, the Ambassador said that people of Nepal and Pakistan enjoy close and friendly relations nurtured by friendship, cooperation and mutual respect.
