Charsadda police rewarded for performance

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani on excellent performance of foiling terrorism bid in Charsadda awarded Charsadda police team in a ceremony held at CPO Peshawar on Monday. The Charsadda police had information that some terrorists had entered into Charsadda for carrying out terrorist activities.
On this a special team of police and security forces arrested a resident of Badi Korona who during investigation told the police about his other accomplices. Police arrested all the group members and recovered arms and explosives including suicide jackets, police uniforms, 3 SMG, 6 chargers, 180 cartridges, 3 hand grenade, one rocket launcher, 15 kilo explosive from the Parang graveyard.
The arrested terrorists belonged to the banned TTP's Fazlullah group who carried out attacks including targeted killings and bomb blasts in the past. Addressing the ceremony the IGP Nasir Khan Durrani appreciated the bravery and valour of the Charsadda police by saying that they had done a commendable work by averting huge catastrophe and thus saved so many precious lives in Charsadda. The IGP vowed that the ongoing war against terrorists would be taken to its logical end and peace and security would be ensured at all cost.
The IGP urged the awardees to further intensity their efforts and achieve more success against the hard core miscreants. On this occasion, the IGP awarded the police team Head Constable Marwat Khan, Constable Abdul Qadir and Constable Siraj with cash prizes and commendation certificates.
