A personnel of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) allegedly committed suicide at the local FC headquarters, here. An official at the Nabi Bux police Station told Business Recorder that the Lance Naik Nijat Gul, 36, shot himself in the head with a Kalashnikov.
Quoting FC Subedar Major (SM) Zaheerullah, the police official said that Gul was showing signs of disturbed behaviour and his medical treatment was underway for some time. He said psychological problem might have led him to commit suicide. His body was handed over to the FC authorities after completion of the medico-legal formalities from nearby Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK), he said, adding that the deceased originally hailed from KP's Charsadda area near Peshawar.
