Ghulam Ali is a former international player who played 3 ODIs for Pakistan between 1993 and 1995. Ali, to his credit, has almost 10,000 first class runs with a healthy average of 40. He represented the strong PIA cricket team for a long period, and has been active since, on the domestic cricket scene. Ghulam Ali's thoughts on PSL-2 are as follows:
After success of first PSL, second edition will be more attractive to cricket lovers of not only Pakistan, but the fans around the globe. We know that cricket fans follow all popular leagues like Big Bash, IPL, CPL & BPL and we know that first PSL was very successful. If some matches of PSL could be played at Pakistani grounds, it could be helpful in bringing cricket back to Pakistan.
Peshawar Zalmi is the strongest side in my opinion, because they have a very good combination on any kind of surface. Moreover, they have a good leader and experienced T20 players as well. PSL can help bring and nurture new talent. When Pakistani young talent play with top international cricketers under the coaching of big brands of international cricket coaches and mentors like Sir Vivian Richards, Dean Johns, Micky Arthur, Paddy Upton, Wasim Akram, Moin Khan etc, they can certainly increase the bar. Players also have a good opportunity to play in front of big crowds.
