Pakistanis donate Rs 554 billion for assistance of destitute people, it was announced at an awareness seminar here on Tuesday. The chief executive of the Pakistan Peace Collective (PPC), Dr Bushra Taskin, said in the seminar at the University of Peshawar, any donations should be given only to registered or well known charity organisations so that the donation cannot be utilised by terrorists. The awareness seminar was meant to sensitise people about misuse of donations and the role of youth for a positive change in society. She said that such awareness camps are held across Pakistan, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
