Message from Managing Director - Fauji Foundation/ Chairman FTBL Power Company Limited
Timely completion of the first coal power plant under the umbrella of the Fauji Group is a huge accomplishment. I congratulate the CE&MD FFBL Power Company Limited along with his project team on the inauguration of Coal Power Plant. It is truly a remarkable milestone in record time and budget. FPCL not only ensures FFBL's power self-sufficiency but shall also contribute towards reducing the power shortages in Karachi.
As a developing economy, Pakistan needs such initiatives and projects in energy sectors. This builds the confidence of domestic and foreign investors to fortify the economic growth. The delivery of such challenging and technically arduous project has been accomplished in a record time. It gives me the confidence to say that FPCL has the potential to become one of the main, if not the foremost organisations in the energy sector of Pakistan. Fauji Foundation has maintained its legacy to remain at the forefront of the Country's development. We have already invested in Renewable Energy and now pioneered in the setting up and commissioning of Fuel Coal fired IPP in Pakistan.
Fauji Group's commitment towards Pakistan's sustainable social and economic development is unwavering and FPCL's inception is another step in that direction.
On this auspicious occasion, I hope that we will continue to work together as a group to attain new heights of sustainable growth and prosperity.
May Allah bless our beloved homeland. Ameen.
