Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair has said that the business community will be facilitated to play their due role in the national development because their role is very important in the economic development. "Government will sort out the problems of business community on preference," said Sindh governor talking to a 20-member delegation of Businessman Panel that was led by Mian Zahid Hussain, president of Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum (PBIF).
Muhammad Zubair said that government is to resolve all issues relating to infrastructure, energy and tax. He asked the taxation authorities not to harass businessmen. "Our exports can only rebound when we provide incentives to the exports sector," he said, adding that government has taken steps to strengthen external trade. He said that government has achieved a lot during last three years and country has been heading towards a bright future. He said that government has achieved almost all of the objectives while successfully countering the challenge of extremism and terrorism and overcoming the chronic energy shortages.
The Sindh governor said that difficult decisions on vital national matters were now being taken with consensus. He said that huge investment was pouring in the energy sector and several new projects were in the pipeline. He also mentioned the solar, hydel, coal and nuclear energy projects. He said that three new power generation plants would run with LNG soon.
Mian Zahid Hussain and other business leaders said that they unconditionally support the vision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. They lauded the government for taking serious steps to reduce energy shortages and supported decision of the government to expedite work on TAPI gas pipeline project.
The delegation comprised of Abdul Rahim Janoo, Mehtab Uddin Chawla, Yahya Polani, Sardar Yaseen Malik, Javaid Jilani, Saqib Fayyaz Magoon, Shahnawaz Ishtiaq, Shokat Ahmad, Rafiq Suleman, Sultan Rehman, Basheer Mangejo, Syed Abdul Waheed Shah, Ghulam Mustafa Solangi, Mohsin Abbas Dharsi, Shahid Anwal and Asim Shakoor Rana. They informed Sindh governor about their issues.
