Provincial president, PPP, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Hamayun Khan has expressed deep concern over delaying tactics on National Finance Commission (NFC) Award and other matters relating to progress and development of the province.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, the PPP provincial chief warned that in case of no redressal of their concern, they will not hesitate from raising their voice on every forum and even taking extreme step to use all available options for welfare and resources of the province.
The former provincial finance minister said that due to stubborn attitude of the federal government and lack of interest by the provincial government in the province, the people of the province are suffering from the sense of deprivation while the natural disasters and lawlessness have multiplied poverty, backwardness, unemployment and price hike in the province. But, neither federal nor provincial government is taking for the resolution of these serious problems.
He said that the provision of all constitutional and legal rights to the province is essentials for the rulers. He said that PPP will not hesitate from rendering any kind of sacrifice for the people, saying the previous government of party had made record achievements in putting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the path of progress and development.
The progress and development of small provinces is dependent on judicious distribution of resources and NFC Award, therefore, he said the provincial government should exhibit seriousness over the issue.
He assured full support of PPP to the provincial government in the struggle for the rights of the province to force federal government to agree on judicious distribution of resources. For this purpose, he further urged on the provincial government to take all opposition leaders in the provincial assembly into confidence to raise voice for all constitutional and legal rights including the judicious distribution of NFC Award and redress the sense of deprivation and put the province on the path of progress and development.
