The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) women's wing has decided to hold one-day matches between Pakistan women cricket A-team and Under-16 boys' cricket team at Multan, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Karachi. The matches will commence from February 8, 2017. The idea behind these matches is to give match practice to the players, to prepare for the upcoming international cricket events both for women and U-16 players, a PCB spokesman, said.
In this regard, the National Selection Committee for women cricket has announced 14 players and 4 standbys to play matches on the tour. The players are: Marina Iqbal (Captain), Kianat Hafeez, Noreen Yaqoob, Omaima Sohail, Rabia Shah, Freeha Mahmood, Tooba Hassan, Fazila Akhlaq, Subhana Tariq, Rameem Shamim, Waheeda Akhter, Kainat Imtiaz, Natalia Pervaiz and Diana Bai. The reserves players include: Fatima Sana, Hafza Khalid, Maham Manzoor and Samina Bibi.
