Staff of the Directorate of Estate Management-II of Lahore Development Authority retrieved a seven marla plot in Mustafa Town from land grabbers during its operation on Saturday. An under construction house on the said plot No 133-A, Ahmad Yar block of the scheme was sealed and construction work at site was also stopped by LDA staff.
Meanwhile, Lahore Development Authority has decided to launch a drive against illegally constructed houses in its own schemes, private housing schemes and controlled area for ensuring strict enforcement of building by-laws.
The staff of the Town Planning Wing of LDA sealed as many as 17 houses in different blocks of Nawab Town, a private housing scheme, on Saturday. These houses were being constructed without getting the building plan sanctioned by LDA.
Moreover, Director General Lahore Development Authority has entrusted the charge of the post of Director Engineering to Mirza Inam ul Haq, Deputy Director Engineering, in his own pay and scale, in addition to his own duties. He has further been posted as Director (EME), LDA.
