Minister vows to address grievances of fishermen

Sindh Minister for Livestock and Fisheries, Muhammad Ali Malkani has assured fishermen that the matter for withdrawal of tax on boats and related equipments by FBR would be taken up with the federal government on priority basis.
This he said while addressing a reception hosted by various communities of fishermen; he also assured that like Thar, relief package would also be considered during the period of ban on fishing in June and July, he would ask Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to allocate such relief package in next budget to their benefit.
He said that the fishermen are the real assets of the Sindh, their grievances and real problems would be resolved. If required, we will make necessary legislation for their benefits and mitigate their sufferings.
MPA Javed Nagori welcomed the minister and reiterated that people of Lyari and PPP are always together in every way and never get disassociated with each other, they are always loyal and remained with PPP even in tough times; they were not left in past to suffer alone and will not be left in future.
He hoped that the Minister and the PPP Government would address grievances and resolve problems of poor and needy fishermen and will provide them all basic facilities on priority. Representatives of Fishermen community also spoke on the occasion.
