As part of collaboration between Educational Institutions and the Industry, the students of Computer Engineering along with faculty members of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering (EME) College visited NTC HQs and NTC North Region on Feb 02, 2017.
The students have been given detailed briefing/overview on various Telecom and IT services being provided by NTC to government and defence organisations throughout Pakistan.
The students visited National Data Center, NGN Network and National Operation Center (NOC) of NTC. The students showed keen interest in the state-of-the-art facilities and systems of NTC to meet the modern Telecom/ICT requirements of government of Pakistan. The briefing session was followed by detailed questions /answers session during which NUST students actively participated and clarified their doubts.
It is worth mentioning that NTC has recently transformed its old TDM exchanges into IP based technology ie NGN. This migration on new technology will provide quality Telecom/ICT services with flexibility to government and defence forces.
