The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday said that no blasphemy case had been registered against social activist and blogger Salman Haider. In a statement, the FIA said an application to file a case against Salman Haider had been received which will be evaluated and a decision will be taken afterwards. The application has been submitted by a person named Ahtasham.
Social activist and blogger Salman Haider went missing from the capital earlier this month and returned home on January 28. Meanwhile, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan took notice of registration of a case against bloggers by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
In a statement, he said how FIA registered a case against them without having proper investigation. He said that bloggers and their families have been passing through a critical time for many days. The Minister directed to investigate as to why FIA is showing unnecessary interest and activism in bloggers matter.
