Terming Turkish healthcare system as best, Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif announced to take benefit from the Turkish health model in order to improve the healthcare delivery system in Punjab.
A Turkish delegation led by Turkish Health Ministry Director General for European Union and International Affairs Dr Oner Guner met Chief Minister and exchanged views on improving the healthcare delivery system in Punjab.
Talking on the occasion, Shehbaz said, "We respect and regard Turkish co-operation in improving the healthcare system in Punjab. With the cooperation of Turkey, the healthcare system in Punjab will soon meet the expectations of people."
He said that provision of best medical facilities to common man was the right of every individual. He said that he would leave no stone unturned to provide quality medical facilities to people.
Dr Oner Guner said that cooperation would be extended at every level to the Punjab government for improving the healthcare system.
Sources said the Turkish model would be reviewed for the construction of new hospitals under public-private partnership in Punjab and instructions had been issued for the identification of state land for constructions of new hospitals.
