The Pakistan cricket team returned home on Saturday after dismal performance in the Australian tour facing 3-0 defeat in Test series and 4-1 in ODI series. Cricketers Umar Akmal, Azhar Ali, Wahab Riaz, Muhammad Aamir, Hassan Ali, Muhammad Hafeez and Babar Azam reached Lahore from Brisbane via Dubai.
Media representatives tried to interact with the skipper Azhar Ali and other team members but the players kept mum. It may be added that the PCB did not allow the players to express their viewpoint. However, a few of the cricket fans present at the airport got chance to take selfies with the players.
Apart from the defeat, Pakistan's skipper Azhar Ali was handed a match penalty by the International Cricket Council for slow over rate. He will also pay fine for the mistake.
Pakistani team will now face West Indies in their next contest scheduled in April.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is now looking forward to the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which runs from February 9 to March 5, with the hope that the PSL will give the opportunity to check out the best players and select a good team for the tour of the West Indies.
Critics said Pakistani players totally exposed in the Australian series and boys repeated same mistakes.
