The elections of Islamabad High Court Bar Association are likely to be held on February 25, 2017. The members will elect its body comprising a president, vice president, secretary, joint secretary and five executive members. Muhammad Arbab Alam Abbasi, the candidate for the slot of secretary, informed here on Saturday that even being the elite class of the society, lawyers of Islamabad were deprived of what they deserved.
Since Islamabad High Court is going to be shifted from G-10 to its new building which is supposed to be completed in 2018 in Sector G-5 and district courts will be shifted from F-8 to existing High Court premises, one needs a robust leadership, mature as well as energetic to watch over this transition and protect the interests of lawyers, he added.
Muhammad Arbab Alam Abbasi was elected as join secretary of Islamabad District Bar Association in the year 2008.
