Two experts of the Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) UK are assisting the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for revamping the FBR website and removal of outdated contents from this website.
Sources toldBusiness Recorder here on Saturday that the Facilitation and Taxpayer Education (FATE) Wing of FBR was currently in the process of revamping the FBR website with the assistance of two experts of HMRC, Lynne Tyson and Diane Oliver. For this purpose, both the experts have already visited Pakistan and spent a week with FATE Wing, highlighting areas that need improvement. One such area identified by them is pages assigned to individual FBR wings on the website.
During detailed inspection, it was observed that a lot of outdated content is available on these pages. No periodic review of these pages has even been conducted to remove content that is irrelevant and outdated.
As a matter of policy, it has been decided that a periodic review of these pages will be done after every four months. The FBR has requested all its wings that every FBR Wing may nominate a focal person who will keep liaison with Second Secretary (FATE-Website & Email) for removal of outdated content presently displayed on wing pages and for any future review, sources added.
