Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) has welcomed the Punjab government's plan to build 13 new parking plazas to provide safe, secure and quality parking facilities to the traders and general public. The PIAF chairman Irfan Iqbal Sheikh has urged the government to ensure early construction of plazas asking the government to take the business community on board to identify the locations and areas for parking plazas.
The plazas will not only ease the flow of traffic, but also facilitate the traders in loading and unloading raw materials and related stuff in the busy commercial areas and markets, he added.
Irfan Iqbal Sheikh said the traders have been facing severe parking problems in their markets besides hurdle in transportation of goods in the city which take hours instead of minutes as they remained stuck due to traffic jams.
The smooth flow of traffic is a must to cut cost of doing business and on time delivery of goods at their destinations, he added.
