Elimination of terrorism, loadshedding top government agenda: Khawaja Asif

Federal Defence, Water and Power Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) government is committed to cope with energy crisis and the menace terrorism on top priority basis. Addressing Pakistan Muslim League-N workers convention on Saturday he said that we are mobilizing all resources and channels for generating maximum energy and to get rid of load shedding and rooting out the terrorism at earliest possible.
By virtue of effective policies of the government the duration of load shedding has been reduced to many folds as compare to previous years last year while the industrial wheel in full motion and electricity load shedding will completely finished by 2018 he disclosed. Asif further said that Pak-Army was rendering great service for the elimination of menace of terrorism under Zarb-e-Azb and with the support of the people the terrorism will be wiped out from grass roots level and Pakistan will be converted into safe heaven.
Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif country had been put on road of development prosperity and record development projects had been undertaken by the PML-N government to facilitate the masses in the country he said.
Defence Minister disclosed that 80 percent terrorist activities have been decreased across the country as a result of which people were feeling sign of relief. He said that development work on three sections of mega project Sialkot- Lahore motorway had been initiated and work on the project is in full swing. The motorway will help in linking remote areas along with its track and reduced the distance between Sialkot-Lahore he added. The Minister further disclosed that ultra modern Engineering University and NUST campus would be developed on 500 acres of land and work on both the projects would soon be undertaken. Similarly, all government office would be shifted on Sialkot-Eminabad road and these offices would be developed on 200 acres of land he revealed.
Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that PML-N youth wing, women wing and sections of the part were being activated for next elections and stressed upon the workers that they should prepare themselves for 2018 general election. Central leaders of PML-N are participating workers conventions in different cities for activating the party workers at gross roots level he said.
Addressing the convention Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq said that some elements were trying to sabotage the development process of the country through Dharna politics. Despite the Dharna politics PML-N leadership was making strenuous efforts for bringing economic stability and to put the country right track he said. Saad further said anti-democratic elements were trying creating hurdles in the development process of the country for their personal gains. He urged upon the anti-democratic elements that they should deist from negative politics and blame game and demonstrate political maturity.
