US Plains HRW wheat bids steady

Hard red winter wheat (HRW) cash basis bids around the southern US Plains held steady on Wednesday, underpinned by reduced farmer sales as futures grind lower, said merchants. Abundant old-crop supplies weighed on Chicago Board of Trade Kansas City wheat contracts. Premiums for wheat shipped to and through Kansas City on Tuesday were mostly flat, but down 5 cents per bushel for grain with 11.8 percent protein.
