Peshawar, Quetta, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, FATA and Bannu moved to the quarter-finals of the ongoing National Inter-Division Men Basketball Championship being played here at PASB Coaching Center on Friday. Director PSB Coaching Center Peshawar Mumtaz Ahmad Nadeem was the chief guest on this occasion. Secretary Pakistan Basketball Federation Khalid Bashir, President KP Basketball Association Muhammad Faqir Awan, officials, players and large number of spectators were also present.
Now from Pool-A Peshawar and Quetta and from Pool-B Karachi and Bannu, from Pool-C Rawalpindi and FATA while from the Pool-D Islamabad and Kohat moved to the quarter-finals.
In the League round matches Peshawar recorded a thumping victory against Dera Ismail Khan in a closely contestant encounter 53-51. It was a three pointer of Israr which guided Peshawar to record the victory against Dera Ismail before being levelled at 51-51.
In the second match Rawalpindi defeated Mirpur Khas by 58-31. Rawalpindi right from the start dominated the proceedings and led the way to victory convincingly.
