National Refinery Limited (NRL) has posted Rs 2.062 billion as profit after tax for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 2.478 billion earned in the corresponding period in 2015. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held at Rawalpindi on Friday declared that the company's earning per share stood at Rs 25.79 in the period under review against Rs 30.99 in the same period a year back.
According to the financial results, sent to Pakistan Stock Exchange, the Company's gross sales decreased to Rs 37.544 billion in this quarter against Rs 44.041 billion in the same quarter in 2015 while net sales after payments of trade discount, taxes, duties, levies and price differential, stood at Rs 26.603 billion in this quarter in 2016 against Rs 29.821 billion in the same quarter in 2015.
The company's profit before taxation stood at Rs 2.078 billion in this quarter against Rs 3.538 billion in the same quarter a year back.
