Vice Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said the opposition would withdraw its privilege motion against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif if the PM repeats his earlier stance about his family assets on the issue of Panama Leaks in the National Assembly. He expressed these views while talking to media persons in front of the Parliament House on Thursday. He said that it is a fight for truth and accountability of those who looted public money.
He said that the opposition would also submit another privilege motion against the PML-N government against its attack on the PTI members in the House. He said that the opposition had requested the Speaker to give two minutes to each of the five movers of the motion and then the government could give its viewpoint as is the norm. But the Speaker did not give floor to the movers of the motion. "The Prime Minister had given his statement on the floor of the Parliament, but his lawyers deviated from it in the Supreme Court," said Qureshi. He added that the behaviour of the government benches is not fit for lawmakers.
