Pesco issues NoC for two megawatts Birmugh Golen power project
The Board of Directors (BoD) of Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) has approved the issuance of no-objection certificate (NoC) in respect of two megawatt Hydro Project Birmugh Golen Chitral, purchase of 1,367 distribution transformers of 50 KVA, special conveyance allowance to disable employees and up gradation of the pay-scale of the audit cadre employees to facilitate the consumers.
The 113th meeting of the BoD was held at Wapda House Peshawar with Chairman Malik Muhammad Asad Khan in the chair. The Company Secretary presented Minutes of 112th BoDs meeting which were approved after detailed discussions with minor amendments.
The meeting discussed the measures taken for turning Pesco into a profitable entity. The BoD was told that during last tenure they had succeeded for reduction of the losses and hopeful to bring it to zero by June 17 and after which the Pesco would become a profit earning company.
The BoD reviewed the performance of the company from July 2016 to December 2016 regarding line losses, recovery and photo billing. The board was told that during that period line losses had been decreased while recovery had been increased.
Photo meter reading was also discussed in detail and for further acceleration of the process important instructions were issued by BoDs.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pesco Anwarul Haq Yousafzai gave comprehensive presentation to the board about performance of the company. He said line losses had been decreased by while recovery had been increased during the last quarter.
The CEO Pesco vowed to do his best for the betterment of the company, and said Pesco employees had to be efficient in resolving consumers' complaints. Similarly, the people were also requested to remove direct connections.
Board Members including Chief Executive Pesco Anwar UlHaq Yousafzai, Syed Musawar Shah, Iftikhar Ahmad Khan, Jahanzeb Khan Colonel Retd, Alam Zeb Colonel Retd, Dr Amjad Ullah Khattak, Qamar-Uz-Zaman, NimatUllah Abid, General Manager (Technical Hassan Fazil), Chief Engineer Shabir Ahmad, Chief Engineer (Operation) Mohsin Raza, Chief Engineer (Planning) Muhammad Iqbal Marwat, Director General (PR) Shaukat Afzal, Director General (HR) Muhammad Saleem Jahangir and Secretary Board Khurshid Ahmad Orakzai, attended the meeting.
