Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders while flaying Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Imran Khan claimed on Wednesday that the counsel for Maryam Nawaz had proved in the Supreme Court that PTI's allegations against her were false and she was not a dependant of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Talking to media persons outside the Supreme Court after Panamagate case hearing, State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, MNA Daniyal Aziz and MNA Maiza Hameed claimed that PTI's allegation that Prime Minister's daughter Maryam Nawaz was still dependent on her father had been proved false in the apex court.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said earlier the Counsel of the PM proved that Nawaz Sharif had nothing to do with Panama Leaks and he had no association with any business or property as was being alleged by Imran Khan and others.
She said PTI was only doing politics on Panama Leaks but could not prove any allegation as true in the apex court, and alleged that Imran was a compulsive liar and trying to mislead the public instead of providing proofs in the court. She advised Khan to make preparations for the next general election instead of levelling baseless allegations against Maryam Nawaz.
The minister said the documents on the basis of which tall claims were being made by the PTI about 'big revelations,' were already available with the apex court. In fact, she added, the PTI staged a drama that its documents were going to make any big revelation, just to serve the purpose of doing politics on the Panama Leaks.
She said the PTI had claimed in their petition that Maryam Nawaz was a dependent of the Prime Minister and beneficial owner of the London properties, while the Prime Minister's Counsel had proved that his client had no link with any property or business.
She regretted that the PTI chief was levelling baseless allegations against Maryam Nawaz day and night just to malign her.
Speaking on the occasion Danyal Aziz said Imran Khan should look into the report which said that gifts were exchanged among family members of Jehangir Tareen. He said Imran's own name was included in the list of those owning offshore companies.
He said Imran had no evidence to counter the documents submitted by the counsel for Maryam Nawaz.
He claimed Imran had submitted fake documents with the Judicial Commission formed to probe rigging allegations. He said the PTI as per its tradition submitted fake documents before the court that contained three different signatures of Maryam Nawaz. Doing politics in courts made no sense, he added.
PML-N leader Maiza Hameed said PTI was afraid of Maryam Nawaz who was an emerging leader. She claimed Imran Khan had failed to provide money trail of the party funds before the Election Commission of Pakistan. She said the PTI had no capability to deliver in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where the public had given it the mandate in the general election 2013 to serve them.
