Bad weather affected flight schedule at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Wednesday, said airport sources. According to the sources, the Islamabad-Lahore bound PIA flight PK-651 was diverted again to Islamabad due to the bad weather. Besides, landing of a good number of other flights was also delayed due to the unfavourable weather conditions.
There was rain and thunderstorm throughout Wednesday in the city that affected visibility accordingly. The Met Office had informed the airport management about the weather conditions in advance that led to a change of flight schedule by and large.
