Zardari urges Trump to appoint high- level official for South Asia

Former president Asif Ali Zardari has said that President Donald Trump should appoint a high level representative in his administration to deal with the issues in South Asia. He made the statement in an interview to an American newspaper. Zardari claimed that Obama administration wasted their opportunity to tackle terrorism in an effective manner in the region.
"Donald Trump should appoint a high-level official in his administration to deal with issues in South Asia," he added. He further said the new US president could play his role in defusing tensions between Pakistan and India over Kashmir issue and the prevailing situation in Afghanistan.
