Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) on Tuesday announced protests against Punjab government over Model Town incident from January 27. Awami Tehreek's Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, in a statement, said that the party will continue its struggle to lead the corrupt rulers to their logical end. Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chairman Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri will also address the anti-government protests.
It should be noted that 14 people, including several PAT workers, lost their lives in clashes with Punjab Police at Lahore's Model Town area on June 17, 2014. Qadri repeatedly claimed that government institutions have failed to provide him justice into the matter.
